Happy New Year!
Welcome back to yet another year of Hong Kong Drum and Bass Podcast KONGKAST!
you may have noticed that we’re trying out the advanced Podcast, so stay tuned for more features on the upcoming Kongkast!
To start the year off, we’ve got a very special mix from DJ DisasZt (Vienna)!
This big mix features some of the best Drum and Bass that’s coming out of his own imprint “MainFrame Recordings”.
About DJ DisasZt:
As a DJ since 1995, DJ DisasZt has been in the Vienna Drum and Bass Scene since the ages of 16.
In 2001 DISASZT started producing his own tunes. His first release on the Austrian Drum’n’Bass Compilation was a track called “Get It On”under the Alias „The Unxpected“.
Till this day he is also organizing parties in the most provinces of Austria like tyrol, upper Styria and Burgenland.

About DisasZt aka Daniel :
1995, DisasZt aka Daniel Fürst-Zoffel started into Drum’n’Bass at the age of 16.
It was spring time when he mixed his vinyl´s, his grandmother came into his room and said „Whats that kind of disaster is this??“ so the name is an homage to his grandma, the D for the first letter of Daniel and the Z for Zoffel, his last name – outcome was disasZt.
Together with Dj Combo he buyed every d´n´b Vinyl on the Market, to pass it over to all friends. It became also their business to bandy the new sound about. They took their own equipment including all new tunes without asking the host but for free on each private party in town.
1998, He received his first bookings in Vienna and additionally DJ DisasZt’s started cooperation with the legendary Bass Infection Crew.
In 2001 DISASZT started producing his own tunes. His first release on the Austrian Drum’n’Bass Compilation was a track called “Get It On”under the Alias „The Unxpected“.
Till this day he is also organizing parties in the most provinces of Austria like tyrol, upper Styria & Burgenland.
In mid of 2002 DJ DisasZt started to run his own monthly Drum’n’Bass Club. This event called “MAINFRAME „ „vienna drum’n’bass massive” took place at the WUK/Vienna. With more and more visitors, they where able to move to a bigger viennese location – the ARENA, with space for more than 2000 d´n´b lovers.
Since 2004 DJ DisasZt became a resident member of D.Kay..s weekly Drum’n’Bass Club “Beat It” at the Flex .
2006 was an amazing and important year for DJ DisasZt and his partner Andi. They established their own club called- theZOO, a melting pot for urban music,culture and various kinds of beat music styles. – located close to the lovely Castle and Zoo of Schönbrunn/Vienna. MAINFRAME CLUBNIGHTS are brodcating an unique flair. This monthly event and fix componente of the program is a synonym for a really special DrumandBass Night.
DJ DisasZt, with an impressive style and perfect crowd control, is one of the best and well known Drum’n’Bass DJs in and close to Austria.
2007 Disaszt is responisible in gettin the Austrian Scene together to release the Party-Brand “BASSCITY”, where all DNB-ARTISTS in Austria are playin together every year.
Now – about 6 Years later – “MAINFRAME” is one of the biggest and most important monthly Drum’n’Bass Event in Austria.
2008 Daniel get more focused on the Sound of Austria and he is able to celebrate his biggest future venture, his own Label “MAINFRAME RECORDINGS” . Keep your eyes open for a massive release roster. Also because he is producing together with Shimon on his own Imprint “AudioPorn” - watch out for Future Releases
