Since I came back to Hong Kong, life has been kind of hectic, and I have been experiencing some cultural shocks and readjusting myself into my new life.
I had not been having a chance to do any movement like I used to. My body told me I had to do something, something creative, something instinctive, something that needs to use my body A LOT! Finally, I made up my mind to book myself a dance room for an hour.
Playing 'Amelie''s soundtrack by Yann Tiresen on the sound system, I just moved. Playing with stillness, pace, rhythm, speed, a lot of slow motions, spirals, angles, waves, tension, softness, hardness, sharpness, extension, contraction, traveling....IN SPACE. I had never experienced anything more inspiring and liberating than that. Yann Tiresen is a genius!
In March 2009, I am back to Hong Kong for my career as an actor for all medium and a theatre maker/practitioner.
