Way of Bey fills Philia

A fun e vening of movies and memories...

I guess it must be the definition of  a slow night in the big city, but we did manage to (pretty much) pack Philia on a Tuesday evening for the first of the Way of Bey shows.  It was the first such show I've ever done, combining clips from my favourite Hong Kong films, my own movies, memories from time in the industry, advice on how to break into the business...

Everyone seemed to have a good time (including me), and I learned a lot of things I can apply to the next one: we won't try to pack too much into the running time and try to make it more interactive. (I was expecting more questions from the audience!).

My thanks to everyone who showed up (and especially those that bought a copy of the 'Blood Bond' book...). Our special guests included Film Festival head honcho Roger Garcia, kung fu queen Yeung Pang Pang, supermodel Cara G, Shadowguard star Phoenix Valen, director Antony Szeto... I'm sure they all had better things to do, but they showed up anyway!
