It's been so many years. Yet this song still hits home in every way possible.

I will never understand why the Strokes never got over in the US but were worshipped in Europe and hailed as saviors of rock in 2001. NME did a whole feature on the 10th anniversary of Is This It recently. In the states, they wouldn't even make the backpages of Maxim.

There are theories as to why that is. The Brits have better music taste is one. There are others, but I dunno. I don't care--I just know The Strokes changed my world.
