Changes are in the wind

On Thursday, went to Taiji Class.........and got a surprise.....all the students had on a new Taiji  workout shirt that Michel made for the class.....it has a big picture on the back of me posing with a nandao..............hehe....sort of kool, though I am usually not that interested in promoting myself......the Art comes first....I am only a passer on of knowledge...............but it's nice that your students feel it's important to advertise for their teacher.  I have resisted starting any new classes for a long time....but Kan one of my Chen Taiji students........moved to Berkeley......and has been looking for a good taiji instructor.........mentioned to the YMCA....that they should get me to teach classes for them................so got a call from them..........and I must admit that it is a beautiful place to have a class..............the meditation studio....has a 20' ceiling.....mirrors on one side, and plenty of ventilation.......so we'll see what happens, they have to find a slot for my class and the money.......but I might start some new classes....thanks Kan!!

 After class, we had Alma's Birthday PartII...............you will remember we had Part I awhile back.........but I wasn't available for lunch...so Alma waited until I had time to schedule Part II..............lunch with all her favorite classmates and friends from Chevron (where she worked before she retired).  Well we picked Jitlada, a Thai Resturant in Japantown, on Buchanan Street, between Post and Sutter Streets.  Pai is the Chef there and she personally prepares every dish, uses only organic food and her presentations are a work of art.

Jitlada's Thai Hot and Sour Soup........not too spicy with just the right touch of sweetness.

Paradise Pasta is one of Pai's creations.....lots of vegies and Tofu.....can add meat if you like!

You should try the Fresh Mango with Black Sticky rice........really refreshing and yummy!! (hey, Ely more food for you!!).

On sunday........ended up there again for lunch......with Ben and Simu..........always good!!  Ok, getting tired here so cya all!!  Before I forget.......get your hands free device for your cell phone or you might have to pay a fine for using your phone in your car........which I think it's about time, I am usually afraid to follow someone who's driving and has the phone in the other hand.....hope this will make it safer on the road.........now if only we could get the price of gas down......... !
