Creative Workshops by Esin - HK, Tokyo, Sapporo

Overview

Building on the success of their creative workshops in Japan earlier this year, Esin are pleased to announce they will be holding further workshops in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sapporo during the Autumn. Esin’s Hong Kong workshops will be held at MakerHive, the newest addition to the Hive network. All workshops are scheduled to run over five days.

Led by world-class creative professionals, many of whom were the original founders of tomato, the London-based Arts and Design collective, the series of five workshops will be held first in Hong Kong, from September 24th to 28th, then in Tokyo from October 19th to 23rd and on to Sapporo in Hokkaido for two consecutive workshops running from October 26th through to November 6th before returning to Hong Kong on November 11th for five days.

The workshop

Participants are typically artists, designers, architects, musicians, photographers, writers, coders, gamers, film makers, sculptors, choreographers, product makers, inventors, thinkers. They may be creative people running their own businesses. Some may not work in a creative industry but are considering a career change or simply want to explore their creativity. Many will have been involved in creativity for a number of years and need to refresh themselves and rediscover their inspiration.

Format

After a brief introduction, the Esin workshop will cover a series of projects that are set for the participants who have to interpret often challenging and wide-ranging briefs and produce work in many different formats and media and deliver the work to deadlines. There is a regular process of review and feedback. In addition to the central focus of making work, there will also be discussions where creative business problems are discussed and experiences shared
