Hoo-roo, Kate!

I met Kate Ferris through my last acting gig.  She was the stage manager of the show I was doing with TEAM Educational Theatre Company, "Jumping on My Shadow",and we worked and toured together for over five months.  She's one cool Aussie gal, very laid back and good at her job, and since then she became a good friend of mine and the rest of the cast members.

Kate is due to return home to Toowoomba, Australia (I hope I got that right now... ) on Wednesday 25th November, so myself and fellow cast members from "Jumping on My Shadow", David Ferguson & Georgina McKevitt got together on the evening of Friday 21st to catch upover a few drinksand see her before she's off.

The night was enjoyable and we spoke of the good times.  How we missed the bumpy rides in the TEAM van in the rocky country roads, which surely unsettled Dave's stomach...  Or upon entering the wrong school led us to drive over a prized rugby field in Wales...  And what about our classic performance of "Jumping on My Shadow"with the music replaced with just the actors hums...  And let's not forget our close run-in with the law in Donegal.... Ah, good times!  You'll surely be missed, Kate! 

The night ended prematurely when Kate had to make an early exit due to a matinee show she was working on the following day.  All is forgiven though.  We have to thank Kate for putting up with us moany actors (well, by us I really just mean big man Dave! ) throughout the tour.  She's a good worker with a good heart, and she would be dearly missed, socially and in the professional work.

Hoo-roo to ya, Kate!  Back to the Lucky Country...
