2010 Vancouver Olympics

Olympics have come to Vancouver and I am in Beijing.

I won't miss the crazy traffic, the hours waiting in line for many of the events and all the restricted areas that have popped up Downtown, however,  I do wish I could experience the extra hundreds of thousands of people in the streets, the festivities, the victory celebrations and the hockey atmosphere. 

One of the simple pleasures I've had in the past few weeks is waking up early enough to catch the Men's Hockey games.  Canada vs. Russia this morning with Canada coming on top 7-3 was a great way to start the day.

Despite the upset from the Americans two games ago, Canada seems to have found it's groove, we got Bobby Lu in net (go Canucks!), two more games to go and a gold medal to take in our possession.  Any Team Canada fans out there?  That game was spectacular!
