幻愛鐘情

《幻愛鐘情》是「平行生命四部曲」的最終章，利維特拍出自《莎蓮與茱莉浪遊記》後最重要的作品，不少影癡視為當年最愛。《不羈的美女》的艾曼妞琵雅再有迷人演出，飾演神秘美女，自殺與重生都因為愛，影片故佈疑陣，利維特正要告訴觀眾：電影是夢。故事遊走於夢與現實之間，有著尚高克多的影響，利維特亦明言，他是因為讀到尚高克多的《美女與野獸拍攝筆記》才決定拍電影的。

THE STORY OF MARIE AND JULIEN

As the final instalment of Jacques Rivette's "Scènes de la vie parallèle", THE STORY OF MARIE AND JULIEN is his most important work since his 1974 masterpiece CELINE AND JULIE GO BOATING. Emmanuelle Béart (LA BELLE NOISEUSE) played the enigmatic woman in this passionate story about the power of love against the fear of death. Heavily inspired by Jean Cocteau's work, Rivette weaves elements from Celtic folklore as well as film noir so that dream and reality become inseparable. He even once admitted that he became a filmmaker after watching Jean Cocteau's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: DIARY OF A FILM.
