The 11th Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) announced its list of 25 outstanding film projects. Following last year's successful 10th anniversary, this year's HAF presents a total of 22 features and three documentaries, a category introduced to HAF last year. More than 250 submissions were received from 51 territories from across the globe.

Highlights of HAF's Hong Kong-based Project Finalists

Five quality Hong Kong-based film projects have been selected this year, demonstrating the forum's commitment to promoting local talents and strengthening the region's world-renowned film industry.

The Ceiling by acclaimed independent filmmaker and local film critic *Philip YUNG** , who won the 2011 HAF (Hong Kong) Award King of Shrimp Roe Noodleby beloved and versatile Hong Kong actor *LAM Tze-chung** When I Come to Meby *LAM Suk-ching** whose short film, Acid,won the Short Film Competition Special Prize at the 36th HKIFF Doomsday‧ Party by young director *HO Hong** , will be produced by industry veterans Teddy Robin KWAN and Roddy WONG Pseudo-Secular by newcomer *Rita HUI** who won Best Director at the 2009 Singapore Asian Festival of First Films. Highlights of HAF's International Project Finalists

The 2013 HAF line-up contains a number of renowned international filmmakers.

Thailand's renowned *Apichatpong WEERASETHAKUL** , winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, will bring his latest intriguing project, Cemetery of Kings **KAWASE Naomi* , winner of the prestigious Grand Prix at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, will present her film 2 Ways Japanese helmer *YUKISADA Isao** , who won the FIPRESCI Prize for Paredo at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival, will introduce his atmospheric horror film Of a Promise Kept (working title) X+Y, a new project by veteran filmmaker *Morgan MATTHEWS** , a multiple BAFTA award winner 2:30AM by director *Peng Tao** who participated in 2012 HAF Barber's Tales by *Jun Robles LANA** , whose latest work, Bwakaw, was selected as the Filipino entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards

2nd Annual HAF/Fox Chinese Film Development Award

HAF also announced finalists for the 2nd Annual HAF/Fox Chinese Film Development Award

today. Presented by HAF and Fox International Productions (Greater China) Limited (Fox), the Award supports filmmakers in the development of Chinese-language cinema. This year, over 100 submissions were received from around the world. Finalists are invited to present their work to the Fox panel during the 11th HAF, and the winner will be announced on 20 March 2013 at the official Awards Presentation Ceremony. The winner will receive HK$100,000, a Development Contract and a First Look Agreement with Fox. Other finalists may also be offered a First Look Agreement with Fox.

Singaporean *HAN Yek Kwang** 's action comedy Qing Gong **HUANG Yao* 's directorial debut Male Joy/ Female Love, produced by veteran filmmaker Stanley KWAN Film scholar *Sobel CHAN Ka-lok** 's comedy League of HK Movie Heroes **GONG Zhaohui* 's suspenseful drama Underground River **HUA Wenqing* 's animated feature project Ten Brothers.
