The brief life of #JeanVigo seethed with creativity and drama; his few but exciting films have been rediscovered and revered from generation to generation. Bringing to French cinema a search for realism and a poetic eye, his works, though fragmented, became touchstones for the #FrenchNewWave. Vigo’s masterworks were scarcely visible in his lifetime. Fortunately, cinephiles can now revisit his films, including ZERO DE CONDUITE and L’ATALANTE, which were rediscovered and now have been restored and reconstructed lovingly, allowing us to experience firsthand the original vision of the master.
