河內山宗俊、小姐乾杯！

去年高齡辭世的原節子，是日本影壇「四大女優」之一。Cine Fan為紀念原節子所策劃的小型回顧，特別選映她初出道不久的《河內山宗俊》，英年早逝的導演山中貞雄拍下了她十五歲時候的年少美態。木下惠介的《小姐乾杯！》則捕捉了她步向戰後民主社會的新女性形象，在新藤兼人編劇的抵死對白下，讓她展現出女神的魅力。兩部電影均放映35mm菲林拷貝。

而在6月19日的「永遠的女優 原節子」座談會中，影評人藍天雲和李焯桃談到觀眾對原節子的印象普遍來自小津的電影，但她其實非常多樣化，如《河內山中俊》中的古裝造型、《我對青春無悔》的戰後民主主義女神形象，及至《飯》中那不滿丈夫的人妻等，都有別於小津電影中外表溫婉，內裡剛強的寡婦形象。

PRIEST OF DARKNESS and HERE'S TO THE YOUNG LADY

In PRIEST OF DARKNESS, one of Hara Setsuko's early films by director Yamanaka Sadao, she showed off her immaculate beauty when she was just 15 years old. In Kinoshita Keisuke's HERE'S TO THE YOUNG LADY, Hara Setsuko plays the daughter of a wealthy family who is at first willing to sacrifice for her family, but later decides to follow her heart's calling.

In the post-screening seminar on 19 June, critics Grace Ng and Li Cheuk-to discussed the versatility of Hara Setsuko. Although she is best known for her roles as the devoted daughter in Ozu's films, she played an elder sister in the costume drama PRIEST OF DARKNESS, a carefree schoolgirl to working woman in NO REGRETS FOR OUR YOUTH, and the worried and unsatisfied wife in REPAST, all of which revealed that Hara was capable of a far wider range than the films made with Ozu would imply.
