溝口健二 60年祭

溝口健二是日本電影黃金時代享譽國際的四大導演之一，與小津安二郎、黑澤明、成瀨巳喜男齊名，影評人說他好比電影的莎士比亞，高達形容他是最好的日本導演，黑澤明也最尊敬溝口，奉他為日本電影真真正正的創作者，而受到他藝術風格影響的導演更是多如天上繁星。

Cine Fan趁著溝口健二逝世60周年，特別精選他的七部作品，都改編自文學，當然不缺他晚年在國際影壇打響名堂的三大傑作《西鶴一代女》、《雨月物語》和《山椒大夫》，也有香港對上一次（2004年）溝口回顧展沒有選映的《元祿忠臣藏》、《阿遊小姐》和《新．平家物語》，並補上容易被忽略的巔峰作《殘菊物語》。

Mizoguchi Kenji, 60th Anniversary

Mizoguchi Kenji is one of the four directors considered as the greatest Japanese filmmakers ever, alongside Kurosawa Akira, Yasujiro Ozu and Naruse Mikio. Known for his unparalleled mastery of long takes and mise-en-scene, Mizoguchi is also acclaimed for his confrontation of the society's cruelty against women. Godard claimed Mizoguchi was "the greatest Japanese director" whereas Kurosawa once said, "Of all Japanese directors I have the greatest respect for him."

Cine Fan presents seven of his masterpieces at the 60th anniversary of his death, including towering classics of world cinema like LIFE OF OHARU, UGETSU and SANSHO THE BAILIFF. Other rare classics include THE STORY OF THE LATE CHRYSANTHEMUM, THE LOYAL 47 RONIN, MISS OYU and one of his rare forays into color, the exquisite NEW TALES OF THE TAIRA CLAN.
