In the 30 years since established, the Fringe Club has become a vibrant contemporary arts space where artists create and show their work, and those who enjoy the arts come to meet and see shows. Facilities for exhibitions and performances here are offered rent-free to both emerging and professional artist in Hong Kong and from overseas.
The Fringe club has been providing an open platform fro the arts in Hong Kong since 1984. That means performers and artists can show their work without having to go through selection process.
Over the years, by pursuing this policy of open access, the Fringe Club has come to be identified with freedom of expression. This freedom is invariably associated with the pleasure of creating, showing and enjoying the arts, which we think should be done without isolating them from everyday life.
Up till now, the Fringe Club has presented 28 festivals. It has arranged 62 tours in 15 cities, hosted 67 residencies, and held 1,400 exhibitions, 3,230 community outreach events, 1,900 live-music shows, 8,150 stage performances and numerous overseas presentations, most recently at the Shanghai Expo 2010, the 54th Venice Biennale 2011 and Taipei Hong Kong Week 2012.

藝穗會是一個當代的藝術空間，為香港或海外藝術家提供免租金的展覽及表演場地同時也為藝術愛好者提供一處共聚和欣賞節目的地方。
自1984年起藝穗會便為香港提供這個公開藝壇；作品無須經過特別甄選，因為我們相信無論搞藝術或其他工作，每人都有自主權來決定內容。
多年來，藝穗會一直採取開放政策，等同為一處言論自由的地方。自由地表達、創作、和欣賞藝術節目，這都與我們生活不可分隔，與社會息息相關。把藝術和文化合為一體。通過不同思想交流，確有助提升對藝術的了解；這是藝穗會特意把美食美酒融入藝術的欣賞環境裡。
直至現在，藝穗會共製作了28個藝術節，在15個城市進行了62次外地文化交流，主持了67次藝術從業人員駐場計劃，舉辦了1,400個展覽、 8,150場舞台演出、1,900場音樂會和3,230次社區外展活動，包括於上海世博2010演出、策展2011第五十四屆威尼斯雙年展香港館及2012年台北香港週。
