My blog

  • A Bling Bling Month

    Wednesday, Mar 2, 2011 11:46PM / Standard Entry

Last month I finished my first portrait of my girl friend's baby. Hehe I was really worried that she might not be able to recognize her own baby But fortunately she did and loved it!

Then right before I came back to Singapore, I was asked to do 3 more. 2 Damask covers which I had finished but forgot to take pics of and another for Taiwanese artist 小馬, a custom portrait for his iPhone 4.

I have 2 more to go for the month, a MJ and 1 more portrait for another Taiwanese artist Show Luo. So busy but enjoying it!! But I think I need a pair of glasses for myopia!

Just finished the paint work on case #4 for fellow AnD artist, friend and neighbor. ( V..Sorry, I know this is long over-due but I promise it will be at your door very soon and don't worry, the background is purple!! I'll make it nice, nice for you! )

I'm heading back to Taipei tomorrow after a month long vacation with the family in Singapore. I was so touch when last night my cousin and aunt surprised me with my favorite childhood food. I don't know what it's called in English, but it's steamed rice flour cakes with pickled something toppings!! Yummy!!

I'm gonna miss my family when I go back But then I'll be able to see my Taiwan family soon..my 5 little babies and my friends!!

  • Chiang Mai, Thailand trip

    Friday, Feb 18, 2011 1:11PM / Standard Entry

I had just returned from a 5 day trip to Chiang Mai with my aunt and cousin. I took a 1 day cooking class, we went for elephant rides, night bazaars, Thai massages, water rafting, walked the streets.. it was great!!

That cute little elephant drew it!! Amazing, huh??

Elephant back riding, super scary experience. We bought sugar cane and bananas at the stops to feed them while they took us for the walk. I had some bananas next to me and the elephant from the back tried to steal it with her trunk, sooooo cute!! Love elephants!! Wonderful animals! Sad to see them chained up and having to entertain us and all but at least the environment was clean and they looked well. Our elephant's name was Thasa, a 14 year old baby!

Bamboo water rafting on 4 inches of water!! Dangerous!

    At the orchid farm

I made green curry from scratch! Like paste and all..I feel so chefy haha!!

The dishes I made myself during the class. Pad Thai, Coconut chicken soup and the famous mango sticky rice! Yums!

Cam-whoring during class. They gave us a recipe book and a cert at the end of the class. I was the only student after the morning class, so I had a private lesson after that. It was awesome!

Later my teacher and I walked to the wet market, where she introduced me to some of their local vegetables. In Thailand they have like 6-7 types of eggplants!! Wow!

On our last day there, cousin and I walked outside our hotel to feed the pigeons. They weren't afraid of humans at all! It was pretty fun until they started landing on my lap and sitting on my handbag!! Then it got pretty scary

    Pink telephone

    Super cute toilet sign!

Saw these yummy looking things at the night bazaar! Didn't try them tho cuz cream isn't really my thing.. but they looked delicious!

    Fried quail eggs..so cute!

Our transport to the airport!!! Tuk Tuk!!

    Bye-bye Chiang Mai

Haha..Even though I brought 2 cameras on the trip, most of my pics were taken with my phone camera, so do excuse the blurriness

OK, I'm going to try to post this through email. Kinda confusing but let's see
    how it turns out!!

I know it's been awhile since my last blog. Bad, Zoe! Miss me? :P
Well, the boring part is that I've just finished shooting a commercial for a local telecoms company 2 weeks ago, it's my 2nd time working with them, so it was pretty good but the fun part is .. I made another iPad case!!

Over 4500 + crystals and a few hours..hehe, just kidding! It's many, many hours. I only used 3 colors. Mocca , Jet and Crystal. Swarovski's of course!! I love how it turned out!

And I cut my hair off too!! And ate too much too!

  • Endangered Mountain Gorillas

    Monday, Jun 21, 2010 10:19PM / Standard Entry

Three baby mountain gorillas and an adult female have died in Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park last month, possibly from a combination of extremely cold and rainy weather.

About 680 mountain gorillas remain in the wild, making them one of the world's most endangered great apes.
The primates are under threat from poachers, the destruction of their habitat, the live ape trade, disease and fragmentation.

These are one of the most gentle and beautiful creatures in the animal world. It's a shame how we are pushing them off the face of the earth.
