"BLACK COFFEE" Shoot 04/09

34張圖片 / 337次瀏覽 / 1條評論I was tapped by the Seattle International Film Festival to direct a short for their Fly Filmmaking Challenge that will screen at the 2009 edition of their festival. The Challenge part means we shoot in four days, edit in five, and post in two. BLACK COFFEE stars Yuji Okumoto (KARATE KID II, TRUE BELIEVER, PEARL HARBOR), Melissa Roberts, and Nina Carduner.
Synopsis: Someone has found out about David's affair and is blackmailing him. David plans to make the payment to spare his political career, but he's about to find out he's been double-crossed.

2008 Seattle International Film Festival

23張圖片 / 1348次瀏覽 / 1條評論It was nice to bring BOOKIE back to our hometown. SIFF is an exhausting 3 1/2 week festival that screened over 470 movies. It was also fun meeting other filmmakers from out of town and showing them our city, still cloudy and overcast in June until the very end.

"Bookie" LA Premiere

8張圖片 / 1390次瀏覽We had a blast at the Los Angeles premiere. We were competing with the WGA strike, AFI film fest, and Academy screening season but we managed a good turnout. LA was warm and welcoming, hopefully a sign of things to come for the future.
