• BLACK COFFEE screens for FREE in LA (W Hotel-Westwood) Tues Oct 20 at 7:30pm

  BLACK COFFEE will be screening at Film Independent's Cinema Lounge, a monthly showcase of short films held at the W Hotel Los Angeles-Westwood. Always a full-house event, it is a FREE SCREENING event!
  
  Directed by Tran Quoc Bao, BLACK COFFEE is a modern-day film noir that stars Yuji Okumoto (KARATE KID II, TRUE BELIEVER, PEARL HARBOR), Melissa Roberts, and Nina Carduner.
  
  Synopsis: Someone has found out about David's affair and is blackmailing him. David plans to make the payment to spare his political career, but he's about to find out he's been double-crossed.

• Seattle Magazine 2009 Spotlight Award

  Seattle Magazine has named me with one of its 2009 Spotlight Awards. They are given out in different categories like theater, art, dance and my category was film.
  
  Previous award winners include Lynn Shelton, whose feature film HUMPDAY has been such a standout at Sundance and Cannes this year. It's an honor to be in such company and I'm thankful to the folks at Seattle Magazine. If you are in the Pacific Northwest you can find a print version on most any magazine stand.
