Dylan Quek graduated from Singapore Institute of Management (RMIT-Marketing) in 2010, he was first discovered by Mediacorp's Star Search Contest's Hosts Quan Yi Feng and Dasmond Koh along Orchard Road amidst the crowd. With no acting experience prior, he emerged over 1000 contestants from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and China, as one of the Semi-Finalists (Top 10 Male Contestants) in the competition.

Standing at 1.84 metres with boyish good looks, Dylan Quek was scouted thereafter started his journey as a model during his university days. It was only after his exposure in Star Search 2010 contest that opened his career path as an actor and host.

As an actor he debuted in C.L.I.F 《警徽天职》(2011), and was cast in other big productions such as The Journey: A Voyage 《信约：唐山到南洋》(2013) and C.L.I.F 《警徽天职3》(2014).
