  As you all know, I've been a member for years now, of this amazing site.

  And as a thank you, although there are not a lot of people in Belgium here, I would like to give something back: which means: we are giving 20 tickets to AnD artists and fans for the Premiere of Reiki The Movie that will screen on November 4th in Brugges, Belgium.

  DREAM JOURNEY STUDIOS PRESENTS: THE PREMIERE OF THE FIRST BELGIUM ACTION-FANTASY FILM “REIKI THE MOVIE”

   

  On Wednesday the 4^th of November 2009 at 20.00, premieres, during the “Razorreel Fantastic Filmfestival Brugge”, the first Action-Fantasy feature film from Belgium: “Reiki The Movie”.

  Place: Cinema “Zwart Huis” (Also known as “Cinema Liberty”), Kuipersstraat 23, 8000 Brugge

   

  After having screened at this year’s Cannes Film Festival on 19 May, “Reiki The Movie” now premieres in Belgium. The film, written and directed by the young (27) Pedro Chaves, who is originally from Portugal, was shot for a budget of no more than 6000 euro’s, in a record time of 10 days. The premiere will be attended by the, very international cast and crew (among others Martin Swabey and Davide D’Urbano) and several Flemish celebrities, such as Eric van Looy (director Loft), Brahim (Idool), Antony Arandia (actor Sara) and Mel Hartman (author De Fantasiejagers series).

   

  The film was already represented at various large festivals such as Elf Fantasy Fair 2009 and The Facts 2008. “Reiki The Movie” has gotten a lot of support from both within and outside the film community. For instance the Facebook page, has acquired over a 1000 fans within a few weeks. Also, the actors Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints) and Andrew Lin (Infernal Affairs 2) have said to be admirers of the project.

  The film, that will be in competition in next year’s International Film Festival of Porto Alegre in Brasil, will also appear as a comic book, designed by Reni Wong.

   

  “Reiki The Movie”

  Early in the 15^th century, during the inquisition, led by Tomás de Torguemada, “The Order” was created. It was created to eliminate all the reincarnations of witches for centuries to come. Their member were trained assassins and monks, known for their cruelty. In their possession was the sword “Reiki”. Killed by this sword, witches were no longer able to reincarnate. However, the sword disappeared in the 17^th century. Now, 400 years later, the brutal war between witches and “The Order” takes a turn, when the sword “Reiki” is discovered again.
