The anticipation had built to a crescendo. You could cut the tension with a knife. After two mishaps that threatened to end the night in failure and disappointment for the entire team after 5 months of preparation, with what can only be called a masterclass in inspirational leadership, the entire team rallied together, kept theirs chins up and managed to overhaul the previous record comfortably.
