As Time Goes By . . .

Yes oh yes, I do know I have been outta the loop for a while, but I have a good excuse . . .
I'M GETTING MARRIED!!! Two weeks from now, at sunset on a lovely Sunday, at the shore in Phuket, vows will be exchanged. . .
So, I have rather been busy in arranging and organizing and putting together, my dream wedding. In saying that, we also have another Wedding Party back in HK "Hong Kong Wedding Reception" to celebrate with the friends and family that couldnt make it to Phuket. . . No doubt, some fellow Alivenotdead artists will be present!
Apart from that, I have also been traveling the world the last couple of months, then buying a new home and I just simply had not had the time to breathe . . . but soon I will be able to return to my normal self :)
As a career change, recently, my energy and efforts are towards bettering the world and society. Also at times I come and consult for different companies on a PR prospective. Social Responsibility has really become a huge part of my world, everything and I mean EVERYTHING at our home is thought out as much as possible. All our bottles are recycled, plugs pulled out of wall sockets, when shampooing hair in the shower we turn off the water . . . I think if at least we change our habbits slightly perhaps it may change the ripple effects of things. That being said, i reckon awareness is the key. Being aware of your surroundings, and of your effect on things around you, people around you. When you are truely aware, the rest . . . just seems to be so much clearer.

A long time I know . . .

Its been a while I know . . .
However apart from a couple of stays in the hospital getting my health in order I've been planning on big changes . . .
As you know from my last couple of blogs some changes are being made, the first big one is my career change, the second one is I'm finally getting married and I'm super happy bout it!
So Minding Manners, will start up again for kids and will begin running in January 2010. At the moment I'm studying for my Montessori and restructuring the courses for the children. If you didnt catch it before, here is a blog about Minding Manners: August to Remember

2009 So Far ;)

Here I am yes, I know! I have completely disappeared off the map and well have been working on a couple of things. MOSTLY . . . Charity work and helping where I can raise funds. I think I've come to a place in my life where I look back and think, for the last 15 years of being in the spotlight and working with fabulous talents as well as the honor of meeting some of the entertainment industry's most important figures around. . . I am blessed and possibly learned all I've needed too, its strange but really feel that now is time for a real change so the first step was some ME TIME :)

I'm turning the big 30 in a couple of months and have begun to make some life changes. The main one, no more life in the fast lane. The most important things is to take care of Mind, the Body and Spirit. Once those are all in sync . . . well then, just about anything is possible.
Me time included golf lesson!! first time for everything!!
So I put myself to work on a couple of things. First one, POWER GIRLS . . . this is a little network I set up for women young and old who are empowering each other that gather to inspire, help and support one another to achieve our goals, passions and hidden desires. I started this out with only 3 women in the first gathering and now it has grown to a full 65 members and weekly growing.

Power Girls, Indian Dinner NightThis group is very important to me, it was created from a place of something I felt a lot of women were missing in Hong Kong. The gathering with the ladies is where we all can have the freedom to share our thoughts on different topics. One might be about setting up a business, another might be lack of clients and how to help, another might be about something really personal and so on . . . Topics can include but not limited too: budgeting, investing, time management, entrepreneurship, career options, health & fitness, fearless speaking, money, family, children and so on. To sum things up, we have become a tight support network that keeps growing and I hope will continue to grow.
On another note . . . some other things have happened. . . here they are to name a fewAnd finally before I go to sleep, wanted to thank those that have been supportive with the changes I've been making, YOU ROCK!!!
I lost my Blacky Boy to old age, and said goodbye after having my younger brother (yes the dog) for a good 13 years of my life, it was possibly one of the hardest goodbyes ever. I now have his ashes . . .

taken at New Years Eve :) Silly I KNOWI've now gotten my confidence back in the art world and have started a couple things, seemingly its going to take a while before they can surface, as right now I'm in the Research and Development stage, however . . . soon enough . . . I'll give the little previews :) Some of you don't know but I started out my career in 1997 when I met Johnson Tsang of Hanart TZ Gallery, possibly one of the most prestigious and well respected galleries in Asia specializing in Contemporary Chinese Art. Now I'm going back to where my career started and well the artistic side of me will be popping out soon enough . . .
. . . something else I'm involved in . . . soon to launch specializing in Chauffered Rolls Royce Services . . . let me know if you want to know more about this one!

MissyK* on a Come Back?

Well yes and no. . .
My back in actual fact is going to be in a brace for the next couple of months . . . yup! OUCH! to say the least. . .
I know I haven't blogged much lately, but so much has been going on from teaching manners and then being the Director of Public Relations for brands such as Fi Hi has me busy on a world wide spinn!
I'll be posting more thorough updates real soon, Fi Hi is on a world tour, I've got us sponsoring XGames and even the Grammys . . . yeah and BET as well! We've hung out with the Hiltons, Ice Cube and even Gene Simmons oh and the one and only DJ KOOL HERC! its been a good year, just not enough time to update but now since the bed and rest is what the doctor ordered I'll have more time to do those things.
Then we have another concept hitting the 852 . . . and when we are ready to launch I'll let you all know about it . . . its on wheels and its a real experience to say the least.
Fi Hi will be launching in HK later this year . . . we are begining the process of entering the HK market so this will be interesting. . .
Other than that, I wish everyone a lovely weekend ahead and filled with oodles of luvy duvyness!
