Thanks to everyone who came to our last Jazz Poetry Night at MELTING POT a few weeks ago last week and a sound spanking to those who didn't. I would also like to give a special thanks to Kristina Lao and her lovely manager Raven for turning up at short notice and putting on a great acoustic act together with our resident sax/flute player Zane Massey. As usual our keyboard man Mark Peter provided superb backing for our featured poets Siu Long, Claire Lee and Ben Mackie. Veronique Fisher also turned up with a surprise poem and I finally managed to nail down Siu Long long enough to give him the prize he won for his poetry entry back in Volume 2 Issue 3.
Next Jazz poetry will be on Tuesday 4th JULY at THE MELTING POT in SOHO (9pm to 1am) simply because it's such a superb venue. I'm the publisher of Brink Magazine which is a bilingual bi-monthly magazine. We mostly cover arts and culture but we also cover travel to unusual destinations, social issues, alternative investment, food, booze and pretty much anything an intelligent person who thinks outside the box would want. When I'm not working on producing or promoting Brink I like to pick up my bass and jam with friends. Other than that I like to read eat out and talk to friends. When I'm really lucky and have a few weeks time free I like to go back to my original vocation, underwater photography. Oh and I sometimes go to Church at St John's Anglican Cathedral in garden Rd. I'm really more of an animist than a Christian but I like St John's because of their tolerant intelligent approach to religion
