March 2010--Hong Kong Here I come!

Defeated by winter weather

I was supposed to be in Washington, DC by this time today.  The purpose of the trip was to see the First Emperor's Terracotta Army at the National Geographic Museum.  We were all ready to go.  Then I noticed the weather forecast yesterday morning--imminent winter weather for North Carolina, Virginia and the greater DC area.  To get to DC from here, you have to drive across the entire state of Virginia.

Dreams

Last night I dreamed I was walking the streets of Wan Chai.  The funny thing is I've never been to Hong Kong.  I am planning to go in March, but I haven't been yet.  I looked up Hong Kong on the Wiki to see if Wan Chai even exists, or if I just made it up (in your dreams some of the most logical sounding things turn out to be total fiction).  Turns out it really does exist, though why I dreamed I was there and not somewhere else in Hong Kong with a name I'm more familiar with, I haven't a clue.  This is the third dream I've had in ...Read more
