Ling Oei started training wushu at the age of 8, since her parents admired wushu movies so much. Not much later her younger sister Fang Oei followed and the two have been training and competing together ever since. Both sisters are Dutch champions for several years in a row and have won many international titles.
In addition, Ling is pursuing a career as a doctor, studying medicine at Holland's Leiden University and simultaneously finishing her master's degree in Chinese studies.
Ling started teaching wushu (including taijiquan) in 2004 and founded Leiden (University) Wushu, Wushu Students Federation and Orange Tiger Wushu school together with others.
