These Korean fake lashes by Darkness are the best I've ever tried.  The band is sturdy and curved just perfectly, so they're easy to put on and they can be reused as long as you don't accidently mangle them.  The short "kma-4" ones are even easier to position, comfortable to wear, and are flared at the end for kind of a retro cat-eye look.

I went to a Japanese makeup store called Takashimaya, right next to San Gabriel Square, and spent $100 on 7 items.  It's not cheap, but finally I found products that don't irritate my skin, match my skin tone perfectly and are of great quality.  It seems to me that Japanese products are refined to perfection before they are released to the public... no leaking lip gloss, no cheap crap that doesn't work, etc.  Here are two featured items:

The MAKE MANIA Fullaura Eyebrow pencil is one of my favorite new finds -- it has the finest tip you'll ever find, and you don't need to sharpen it.  The color is the perfect shade of brown, which you can lighten by putting a layer of loose powder on top.

The KISS ME Active Girl Mascara is amazing... it has little fibers in it, like tiny hairs.  I've seen models using this on the covers of Japanese magazines.  Many of us Asians (including me) barely have lashes, so this mascara really helps.

been trying to watch the whole video since you first blogged it... for some reason, it kept freezing the first time. this is inspiring me to do my make up more precisely again... i used to be really into it, but lately just stay at home, etc. but i did the same thing you did, where i'd put white on my lids and put black or brown in the crease!

That's a cool video/tutorial.  I've never tried false eyelashes before, but you made it seem so easy to apply them.  =)

I feel like I just watched someone tell me the Easter Bunny isn't real ...  The veils of my imagination have been lifted and now I see that the reality is not nearly as exciting as I thought it might be ...

I would probably poke my eyes out if I tried to do that.
