We Grew Up in San Francisco Chinatown

so...I started this group on Facebook called, " We Grew Up In San Francisco Chinatown" toward the end of October.   The group has really taken off with almost 300 members and with very lively and thought provoking discussions forum.

Being the artist and t-shirt printer I am, I designed this t-shirt and in celebration of the anticipated three hundred.  I plan to debut this t-shirt this Sunday, Dec. 6th, 7pm at the New Lun Ting Cafe.  The admin's and I don't know how many people will actually show up, but it's an informal gathering.  Meaning we're just walking in there as customers.  I call this a flash gathering.

The first 25 people to show up will receive a free t-shirt.  After dinner, we'll walk across the alley to Red's Place to have some drinks and socialize a bit.  I will give out another ten t-shirts for people who can answer my Chinatown trivia questions.

The t-shirts will sell for $15 each afterwards.  I'll have a handful there to sell.  If anyone wants to purchase a shirt, please let me know.  Sorry, I'm not set up for credit cards...maybe someone can teach me how to set up a PayPal account.  I tried to set one up to purchase something on EBay but for some reason, it wouldn't work.

By the way...you do not have to be a member to attend and to qualify for a first 25 and trivia question prize shirt.  My Xanga buddies are welcome too!  Hope to see you there!

Here's the info on the Facebook event page:

Descrīption

Celebrating in anticipation of our lucky number 300, the WGUISFCT will have a flash group gathering at Pork Chop House (New Lun Ting Cafe) for a no-host dinner (your on your own).

A chance to meet and greet your fellow Tong Yun Fau Neiuh's and Jai's. The first 25 to show up will receive a free WGUISFCT t-shirt. m hou jahng loh..... then we'll have a scrumptious dinner and then hang out at Red's Place to socialize, network, pass your biz card and pat each other on the backs for surviving the Gai Mo Sou, Chinese School, Mean Elementary School Teachers, Mean Junior High and High School teachers, Racism, Poverty (as defined by federal guidelines), Gang Wars, and of course....Chinatown.

There will be a CT Trivia game for ten more free t-shirts (first twenty five not qualified). Shirts will go for $15 each there after. We'll be there till people start pooping out after playing Foh Gai Hoon. We hope to cap the night off with Siu Yeh at Sam Wo's.

PS: this is an informal gathering. Pork Chop House nor Red's Place nor Sam Wo is making any special accommodations for us as a group. We're just showing up as regular customers. I am sure they'll be happy to have us patronize their establishments.

We expect a small group....but if it overflows, individuals can find dining close by...like Woey Loey Guey across the street.
