Wow, ACL reconstruction is really something.  I remember when I was diagnosed with a "knee sprain" back in April 2001, the knee wasn't exactly the same since.  For all the wushu / martial arts folks out there familiar with jump inside crescent kicks, or 540s, you know how one can totally screw up their knee....that's what i did in the first place.

So yeah, now I'm awake, but have been a bit woozy.  More updates to come, from yours truly!

In the meantime, check out my Street Fighter fight against Akuma:

    Have a fun weekend!

So...didja take your first step and crumble to the floor yet?  My daughter had her right ACL rebuilt...she took a step and didn't realize the block was still working to numb her right leg.  She totally crumbled to the floor.  Luckily, she didn't do any damage to the rebuild.

I wish you a fast and painfree (as possible) recovery.  Don't forget to do all the physical therapy.  Ice is your friend!!!!  I was surprised at how long it took for my daughter (who tore her ACL to begin with during her State Meet gymnastics floor exercise routine) to get back into things....I think it was 4 months before she could even think about walking quickly in a straight line.  Another 3 months before she could run in a straight line.  It was a full year before the doctor would let her do any twisting gymnastics moves.....

But, I must say, despite the long road to recovery, her right knee ACL is far superior to what she was born with.  The doctor fashioned a bone tube for the rebuilt ligament to fit in thus protecting it from, well, everything!

    Anyways...good luck with the recovery!
