About Me
To keep life as interesting and diverse as possible, I have been paid for art direction, styling, writing, modeling, hosting, marketing, selling, event production, fashion show choreography and production.
I have finally accepted that I am chemically and neurologically hard wired AGAINST corporate structure after having resigned from my last corporate post, which I thought was going to be my dream job. Although I thoroughly loved the content of the position, the experience drove the point home that I am not equipped for the corporate battlefield.
So it's taken me 12 years of professional experimentation within the realm of visual and creative marketing to embrace my fate as a free agent and launch Raw Silk Creative, which is focused on what I do best - helping brands inspire their customers by what and how they communicate to them.
Some of my favorite previous projects and jobs include:
- International Marketing Communications Director for Shanghai Tang
- Launch strategist for Thi Cosmetics, a makeup line celebrating Asian beauty www.thicosmetics.com
- Fashion editor for niche lifestyle magazine NHA Magazine
- Contributing art director and writer for Audrey Magazine, America's leading Asian women lifestyle magazine
- Choreographed the fashion show scene in upcoming movie "Shanghai" with Chow Yun Fat and Gong Li
- Stylist for Style Network
- Produced fashion show for UN's World Environment Day 2005
- Personal styling: clients included CEO of Netflix
- Dance teacher to special needs children organization for five years
- Marketing or Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health
- Marketing for Sakura of America, founder of oil pastels, gel pens, and the first disposable technical pen
Currently, I can talk about two projects I'm involved in:
www.ishothongkong.com
and
www.colleenquencouture.com
