Permed hair

Was thinking of perming my hair after giving birth. Was reading tat those jap hairstyles use digital perms...?

Tried to find some pics to see, but didnt really find a lot of nice ones...here're a few

this seems to be bigger curls

pretty gal with bangs And perms. Bangs are nice but hard to maintain unless trim fringe yourself :p

Any advice?

Intending to go Hair Journal this weekend, they said will cost about $170-$180 After member discount! Not cheap...

I say to do it. Give it a try. Of course with permed hair it requires a little more work maintaining it. Do you think you'll be able to manage?

I wouldn't do it, it wrecks your hair, and then there's the fact that you have to keep doing it. My hair is naturally curly, and I find it gets lots of knots and tangles, than if I straighten it. Which is why I'd rather straight hair. So my bf suggested that I get it permanently done, but as my hair grows out, I'm gonna have to go back and get it touched up and it will cost too much and it won't stay like that because the chemicals just come out after a while anyway. I rather just buy a straightening iron and do it occasionally seeing I hardly do it anyway. If you wanna keep it like that for a longer time, get it done, but if you rather it just for occasions, just buy a curling wand. Besides I think with a curling iron seeing your hair isn't that long or seems that thick, it wouldn't take that long for you to use a curling iron and a bit of hair spray to achieve light waves like that. Or even just a hair brush.

It's terribly difficult to maintain although it looks lovely and gives 'oomph' to the hair but it is even more damaging then straightening, still you can always give it a go, see if you like it one time.

nice! I'd say give it a try. I loved my permed hair but I have to agree with others here, it does dry the hair...

Hair curlers or curling iron works for me to do the "wavy" look - but I'm too lazy to do it :P
