Jimmy was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to California at the age of 3 growing up in Orange County. He attended and graduated Cypress High where BLT (Better Luck Tomorrow) was filmed. After that, Jimmy headed south to attend U.C. San Diego and graduated with a degree in Economics. Upon graduating, he worked as a loan consultant in real estate. Jimmy's first acting gig happened when a friend whose sister worked for New Line Cinema contacted him saying they were looking for people to play Hong Kong policemen for 'Rush Hour 2'. Being a big Jackie fan, Jimmy jumped at the chance. After that, Jimmy did various public service announcements and infomercials until the groundbreaking film 'Better Luck Tomorrow' took the public by storm. Jimmy would pop up in more than a few scenes giving the audience a "Where's Waldo/ Where's Jimmy" feeling…earning Jimmy a loyal cult following. Other films Jimmy's been in include: 'A Day Without a Mexican', Disney's coming of age movie 'Annapolis', the action packed extravaganza 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift', and the hilarious comedy 'Finishing the Game'. When Jimmy's not acting, he keeps himself busy as a purchasing manager.
