So that's it! I'm going to quote my incredibly hardworking and giving debut director @ermahgerdfud here because being the budding playwright she is, she put it best- my "unique, one-of-a-kind version of Debbie will live and breathe once, before laying to rest forever." Thank you @chelseabyc and @thesecondbreakfastcompany and organisers of the first ever Asian Youth Theatre Festival for giving me the chance to play a role that I identify with so much, and for giving me this incredible opportunity to not only hone my craft and share it at a festival with other like-minded people from all over Asia, but also receive so much more in return. I've never had a theatrical "transaction" that's left my heart quite so full before. More on that in another post because the power of Asian youth theatre needs a post all on its own. How very millennial and first-world of me... . AND THANK YOU ALL THOSE WHO CAME TO WATCH THE SHOW! Didn't get a picture with some of you, but you know who you are. Even the one who came all the way down only to find out there were no more tickets left gahhhh ?? Thanks so much, frans! ♥️ . And God needs no instagram shout out but I'd just like to say that He is amazing and He listens and I shouldn't ever forget that.
