Thanks for stopping by, it’s been a long time since this blog has been up, and a lot of interesting (and not so interesting things) have happened since I last posted here in May. I’ll try my best to recap the last 5 months here in the upcoming weeks- but my memory is blurry of even the past few months. It feels like a long string of dreams that I can’t quite recall the details of- as if my mind had drawn a series of pencil sketches and hung them out on a vast clothesline to try and keep them in order. I pick these sketches up and wonder if I really drew them, or if they’ve been smeared and distorted by the wind and rain… I need a more reliable pencil. I need to laminate my sketches.
To start from the most recent and time sensitive thing of significance, I’ve been nominated in the SF Weekly’s 2008 music polls in the “Singer Songwriter/ Americana Folk” Category. Today is the last day to vote. If you haven’t yet, I’d be much obliged if you could click on the link and give me some vote love.
The awards party is open to the public, and will be at Ruby Skye on Thursday Oct 16 in SF featuring a performance by Lyrics Born.
The other piece of news is that I have co-writing credits on a song that plays during the end credits of “Body Of Lies”. I wrote some of the lyrics. I also played a little bit of stuff for the score, though I haven’t seen it yet. I’ll explain in more detail after I sleep a bit…
Good Night,
