Before enter the industry
By the impact of his father, Eric Kwok has developed interest in music at an early age. He also learned violin. But until the age of 13 emigrated to United States with family, mother gave him an electronic organ, Eric found his passion of music and determined to be a musician. When lived in United States, he paid close attention to Hong Kong pop music scene and felt really disappointed for the low standards at that time. He decided to return to Hong Kong changing the decadent style through his own works. He spent a lot of time in composing songs in university, created a large number of works, many of them still non-exposure till now. Eric's work enjoyed high quality from university period. "You Ge Ren", "A Flower" and "the girls I loved" were from them.
Enter into the industry & got fame
Eric entered the industry through his fathers' network after back to Hong Kong. He sent demo to many record companies and music copyright companies. Finally he got the world's largest music copyright company Warner hapell's contract and signed as a composer.
He used pen name Moz and Chinese name Guo Weiliang as his composer name in early period, the first published work was "If you were in my home tonight" sang by lead singer Leon Lai in 1997. After that he composed songs for many other singers such as Leo Ku, Alan Tam and Gigi Leung, but none of them have been selected as leading track, he was very disappointed. In 1999, he handed over his eighth work, it was finally selected as leading track by the famous singer Jacky Cheung. The song was "You Ge Ren". It was a turning point in Eric's music career. Then his work "A Flower" and "to the boys I loved" for Cass Pang and "The Ferris Wheel of Happiness" for Eason Chan became hot songs, brought Eric 3 awards in 1999 Ultimate Song Chart Awards, leading Eric Kwok's career to it's peak.
Band period (1999-2002)
Eric always set composer, arranger and producer all in himself. In order to learn the skills of produce in his debut period, Eric decided to be a singer, but he didn't want solo, so he teamed up "Snowman" with Jerald Chan(Chen Zhe Lu) under EMI. They released the first EP "Snowman" in 1999 with co-supervise. Famous musician Danny Chung as their vocal producer. Eric learned how to act as vocal producer just from him. After that "Snowman" produced all their own albums, began to produce songs for other singers, the fist song is Gigi Leung's "I like".
In 2000, "Snowman" signed with EEG's Music Plus, changed name to "Swing". They released totally 4 albums(the final one is Best Collection), won numerous music awards. "Swing" separated in 2002, Eric staied in EEG and worked in backstage.
Solo period (2002-present)
By the end of 2004, Eric launched his solo album "Eric Kwok Collection" as songwriter/singer, got the "songwriter/singer silver award" of Ultimate Song Chart Award in the same year. In 2006, Eric signed with new record company "Silly Thing", launched his second album "Eric Kwok Cantonese album" in December.

His girlfriend is Grace Ip, another singer in Silly Thing.
Eric kwok used to be her producer.
