Carina Lau Receives Special TLC Watch

(22 July 2008) One of Hong Kong's leading entertainment couples, actors Tony Leung and Carina Lau, got married in Bhutan in a Buddhist-inspired ceremony attended by the tiny kingdom's royalty, local media reported on Monday.

Following the release of the official press photographs of Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Carina Lau Ka-Ling's wedding in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan on Sunday, further photographs were presented today, this time showing Carina in her deep pink Gucci evening gown and clearly showing off her 12 carat diamond wedding ring.

The photograph also shows Carina's wedding gift from her long term sponsors, Longines. The unique design, which was made especially for her by the world-renowned watchmakers was named the Longines TLC Wedding Watch. The priceless item was the only one produced.

The sponsors revealed today that there are a number of different meanings behind the use of "TLC" in the naming of the watch, including "The Loving Couple". The letters T and C represent Tony and Carina's initials and the letter L simultaneously brings together "Leung", "Lau", "Love" and "Longines".

The oval watch face is made from 18k white gold and is studded with 68 VVS diamonds arranged in a design inspired by the European watches of the early 20th century.

When she received this very special gift from her sponsor of eight years, Carina had reportedly been extremely moved and had announced that in her mind, TLC simply stood for "Tender Loving Care".

名貴腕表度身訂造 獨家TLC浪琴錶

劉嘉玲結婚雖言明叫嘉賓折現做善事，但仍收到不少名貴賀禮，如由她任代言人的浪琴錶（Longines），總裁 Walter von Känel 就送了一隻全球獨一無二的 Longines TLC Wedding Watch腕錶給她作結婚禮物。

這隻錶取名 TLC 有多重意義，除代表 The Loving Couple外，T及C也是偉仔(Tony)及嘉玲(Carina)的英文名縮寫，L則同時代表Love、Lau、Leung及Longines。錶面上方是代表嘉玲愛偉仔的「C T」，下方則是偉仔愛嘉玲的「T C」，兩旁又以人手刻上枝葉圖案，祝福兩人開枝散葉。

嘉玲收到此禮物後則感動地說TLC代表Tender、Loving、Care。此錶 Longines 花了半年構思及於瑞士訂做，是1918年一錶款的復刻版，屬 Les Elegantes 系列，上面鑲有68顆鑽石，充滿 artdeco 風格，估計價值約15萬港元。
