The Director Vs. MovieBattle

The Movie Battle Film Festival is an event featuring both established and upcoming film-makers against each other in the task of creating a short-film within a selected genre.

The last Movie Battle saw Danish filmmakers giving their take on the post-apocalyptic genre.

On that occasion i got to collaborate with good friend director Philp Th. Pedersen on the movie Eastern Army.

Philip is now back for Movie Battle 2012 which this time is held in collaboration with Danish film festival CPH Pix and the selected genre is now Super Natural Horror!

I've worked with Philip on a number of projects now and the creative energy on his set is always inspiring to be a part of.

The new movie-project is still only named by a working title and to not spoil any surprise horror that the audience at CPH PIX is in for I can't reveal much of the story yet.. I did however have the pleasure of working with some familiar faces. Danny Thykœr, Maja Muhlack and Norwegian Actor Ole Kristian Thomassen my co-stars from Eastern Army are leading our show this time.

New on board the familiar team, on a detour from California is actress-authoress Kristina Korsholm rounding out the team of these happy go lucky weekend campers!

Danny Thykœr co-writer of the horror awaiting these characters is getting ready to take charge here. Danny and I have worked on a couple of projects together now. Most recently on another Danish produced horror movie called Skavengers. Danny also played my great nemesis in Eastern Army.

On the location with Philp in Skœlskør.. Beautiful Danish countryside but freezing cold!

The theatrical premiere will go down at CPH PIX on April 18, 2012 in Copenhagen!
