    These were taken in late March of 2006.  Nanjing is situated along the Yangzi River and up to the Purple Mountain where visitors go to see the Ming Tomb and Chiang Kai-shek's tomb.  Nanjing also served as China's capital on more than one occasion in history.

    The purple mountain? I think it's Mr. Sun Yat-Sen rather than Chiang's tomb that's located there...:P

    this photo captures an aspect of humanity perfectly - he is so untouched by the horror of it and oblvious to something that requires so much more respect.

    While photographing people's reactions to this number, this young man came and posed.  I think the irony of his actions was lost to him.  At least, I hope so.
