Actress turned singer Priyanka Chopra released her song “Exotic” with the help of Pitbull. “Exotic”, the first single off Priyanka Chopra’s debut studio album, brings together critically acclaimed actress Priyanka Chopra and Pitbull, AKA “Mr. Worldwide,” in a high-energy dance track for the US market, the first ever international collaboration with a Bollywood superstar. “Exotic” infuses a seductive mix of pop, hip-hop, and electro with accents of contemporary and classic Indian music, plus Hindi lyrics written and performed by Priyanka — these resonances are consistently woven throughout each track of the album.

“I wrote these lyrics for my new track,’Pardesi babu ne is Desi dil ko maan Liya hai,’ which means, ‘this foreign guy has taken my Indian heart.’ In this case there are two guys!” said Priyanka Chopra. “I recorded “Exotic” in Ibiza with musical genius and visionary RedOne (guy #1), and none other than Mr. Worldwide aka Pitbull (guy #2). Together they helped me create a hot and sexy summer anthem that I am so proud of! This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share this song and the rest of the album with you!”

Chopra, who is a classically trained singer, is best known as one of India’s most celebrated actresses, with a significant fan base that spans the UK, Europe, Middle East and Canada. She has enjoyed phenomenal success internationally, appearing in more than 40 movies and winning many of India’s most coveted awards. This is the former Miss World’s first foray into the global music scene after being discovered.

America got its first taste of Chopra with her track “ In My City,” which debuted last September on the NFL Network’s Thursday Night Kickoff, and sold more than 100,000 copies in its first week of release. With a guest appearance by will.i.am, “In My City” layers Chopra’s sweetly sleek vocals over lush synth tones and brain-bending beats.
