艺术家曹昊:赶上一辆不知何时开的"末班车"

    只是一位刚刚走上职业艺术创作之路的新秀，一位业余痴迷于HIFI音响，主体又沉醉于雕塑艺术学习长达9年的“80”后艺术家。质朴、纯粹、简单而毫无掩饰的话语让人感受到的是莫名的亲近、轻松和愉悦。没有矫饰、没有世故、更没有顾虑，这就是曹昊：随性又热情。

人物简介：曹昊，1983年生于重庆， 2003年，毕业于四川美术学院附中。2008年毕业于四川美术学院雕塑系雕塑艺术工作室。现居住重庆。

曹昊的第一件参展作品就是2007年创作的一种全新概念下的雕塑作品——有声雕塑《Dream is over》，这件作品也是曹昊职业艺术生涯的处女之作。据悉这件作品在参加完2008年5月当代著名策展人和艺术评论家陆蓉之为北京月亮河当代艺术馆策划的第一届月亮河雕塑艺术节《源》之后，便被当今著名导演冯小刚收入宅中。

“我们两个人有着同样的对音乐的喜爱和对音响发烧DIY的爱好。用手工制作一对高品质的音箱是一件很有意思的事情。那么，为什么不做一件可以发出声音的雕塑或者装置作品，来发出我们自己的声音呢？”

 

于是，曹昊为这件雕塑在3个场景进行了声音采样，有人骑自行车在胡同里穿行；人在机场和人在市场，而狗叫声也不时随行。声音的营造除了体现时间和空间的场景变换，静止的雕塑也随着时间和空间的变化在声音营造的这个场景中相对的移动。观者与“小男孩”和“狗”一起成为这个变换的场景中的一个角色……

如今，他的另一个有声雕塑《幻想症候群——Good night Julia》也于2008年1月问世，并陆续受到新加坡歌剧院画廊、北京林大画廊和上海奥莎艺术空间等艺术机构的青睐和展出。

“这是一个现代都市中每个人多少都有点抑郁的时代，有时候我们需要更多的抒情渠道，比如借助于音乐，让内心保持一个平和和灵巧的弹性，在这个烦扰的城市中努力保持着自己孤独的一点点空间。”

其实没有那么“艺术”     从雕塑系毕业后选择以雕塑创作为职业生涯的少之又少，原因就是雕塑市场价格与架上绘画相比是如此低位，但其创作成本包括空间和材料费又如此昂贵所致。是留在老师的雕塑工厂里打工呢？还是钻破脑袋进学校教书？又或是选择去做与雕塑没有关系的工作？最后，曹昊选择了成为极少数——职业艺术家这条路。有压力吗？“当然，在保证有钱搞创作之前，首先是能有饭吃。”曹昊坦言。他说：“不过母亲的支持自是关键。”能干、坚强且同样热情的事业型母亲是曹昊艺术生涯选择的强大后盾。

    他说：“我不喜欢过朝九晚五的生活，也不喜欢没有创造性的生活。自由的、随性的状态就是我的追求，我不能没有想象力。选择所谓的‘艺术’，不是因为它很炫、很时尚。‘艺术’也不是那么大，那么重，实际上‘艺术’只是我们这群人选择的工作和生活方式，跟其他专业或者从事其他工种的人都一样，没有人们想像中的那么学术、那么‘艺术’。选择它，是因为我只会这个，而且也只能干这个。”

喜欢幻想，喜欢一个人养宠物，喜欢在忧愁、寂寞的时候，听阿桑忧郁的唱着“孤单是一个人的狂欢，狂欢是一群人的孤单.——这就是曹昊。

还算幸运，赶上了“末班车”**** 对于年轻的曹昊来说，似乎有点生不逢时，刚出道就赶上了全球经济危机。用他幽默地比喻：“还算幸运，赶上了末班车。”不过他笑言：“末班车是赶上了，但什么时候能开，却是未知数。”曹昊表示，这的确是一条难以预测未来的道路，但选择就是选择了。

“当网络越来越丰富，当游戏越来越真实，我们是否可以完全沉浸于这个虚拟的世界中？现代都市生活浮世绘，当你疯狂地追求别人所定义的成功或许真正需要的，只是一个穿越距离的拥抱……以便知道我们并不孤单……拥抱，也许是一个眼神，或者只是一首理解你的歌。”

    音乐与雕塑的结合之路曹昊还会继续下去。对于曹昊来说，创作绝对来自于热情和执着，更来自于对生活的想象力和热爱。

A newly-wed just starts the road of professional and artistic creation, the one is crazy for HIFI acoustics in spare time and absorbed in Sculpture Art for nine years，he was born after 1980. he is unsophisticated, pure, simple. Covering up no words make everyone close, relaxed and enjoyable. There is no pretense, no sophistication, no worries, this is Hao Cao: the synonym of Enthusiasm.

 

Profile : Hao Cao was born in 1983 in Chongqing and graduated from Sculpture Department of The Sichuan Fine Arts institute. He is living in Chongqing now.

From HIFI acoustics to Sound sculpture

 

Hao Cao’s the first production took part in the exhibition in 2007 which was under a new concept ---- this was the sound sculpture "Dream is over". The one was Hao Cao’s the virgin's production and represented the beginning of his professional art career. The production took part in the exhibition < source > in May 2008 , the exhibition was the first Moon River Sculpture Festival and planned by a well-known contemporary art curator and critic Rongzhi Lu .It is reported that this production had stored up by the well-known director--- Xiaogang Feng.

 

"I and my friend have the same hobby to music and audio DIY. It’s intresting to DIY a pair of high-quality speakers. So why not DIY a sound sculpture to vocalize our own voice? "

 

Thus, Hao Cao collected the sound of three different senses for the sculpture, someone is riding bike through alleys; someone at the airport and someone in the market whenever accompanies by dog barking.The sound gives our the senses of transformation of time and space , make us feel the static sculpture offset. The audience with the "little boy" and "dog" become a role of transformative scenes.....

 

Today, another sound sculpture also comes out in January 2008 and is exhibited in some art institution. For example: opear Gallery Singapore, Linda Gallery Beijing andOsage GalleryShanghaiChina. Thesound sculpture is called " The Colony of Fantasy Syndrome---- Goodnight Julia".

 

" each person has a little depression in the modern city .sometimes we need some channels to abreact feeling, such as listenning music, let the heart keep calm and flexibility, we try hard to maintain our own and a little lonely space in the annoying city.

 

It is not so “art” in fact

The few number of people select for the sculpture creation as the professional art career after graduating from the Sculpture Department, because the market price of sculpture and painting is so low in comparison, but the creation of space and materials cost so expensive . employment in the teachers’ sculpture factory ? taking the Graduate student test and being a teacher ?or choice the work which don’t have any relation with sculpture? Finally, Hao Cao selected to become one of the small number------ professional artist. “Do you have any pressure? " Hao Cao frankly speaking: " Of course, before ensuring money of creation, first of all, you must afford to eat .But it’s very important to be supported by mum who is competent , strong enthusiasm for work . She is  

a strong backup force in result to cause Hao Cao to choice the road of professional artist.

 

He says : " I am bored the life witnout creative. the status of free and relaxed is in accordance with my demand ,Choosing the so-called “art”, not because it is so cool or fashionable. 'Art' is not so great, so important, in fact 'art' is just our selection of the people ‘s work and live, like the major or engage in other types of works , it’s not academical .I choose it, because I only do this, and I only can do this. "  

 

Enjoying fantasy, enjoying keeping pets , enjoying listening to Asan’s song with depression in the sad and lonely time," Lonely is one person's Carnival, Carnival is a group of people’s lonely .”-- This is the Hao Cao.

 

Pretty lucky, catch up with the "last bus"

 

For the young man , it seems a bit untimely to suffer the global economic crisis. he says Humorously : "it’s pretty lucky to catch up with the last bus." And he smiles : "though I have caught up the last bus , the time of driving is unknown ” Hao Cao says:” this road is difficult to predict future, but I have selected ,I would not change it .”

 

"When the network is more and more manifold, when the game is more and more real, if we can be completely immersed in the virtual world? Today is impetuous, when you pursue the definition of success of of others , or just need is a embraced across the distance ... ... in order to know that we are not alone ... ... hug, gaze, or just a song. "

 

Hao Cao will continue the road that combines music and sculpture, .For him, creation comes from an absolute passion and dedication, but also from the imagination and love of life .
