the interns

First jam session of "The Interns"

At our rate, we'll be ready to perform in 2018. Stay tuned.

Crocs and rock and roll = oxymoron

A week back I wrote about the decline of print media and how twitter/blogs/facebook is slowly cutting out the need for reporters and beat writers--celebrities can now address fans directly or on their own terms. It's evolving faster and faster-- a few days ago ESPN posted a story of what other NBA players thought of the NBA Finals thus far.Get this--it wasn't so much a report or a feature piece, instead it was just a collection of Twitter posts by NBA players. Essentially, the writer who would have been needed to contact the players to get quotes aren't needed anymore. Players were directly addressing people. We found out what Shaq though about Kobe's 4th ring seconds after Kobe won it. We found out how Lamar Odom felt about his performance an hour after he took off his jersey. This is big, dude. I have been trying for the past few days to get a hold of Bill Simmons for an interview. No, I'm not just looking to interview him because I'm a fanboy--although it'd be rad to just talk WWF, NBA and Rocky with him for two hours. I want to interview him for this feature I have in mind. And with Bill Simmons being one of the pioneer of online sports writers/reporters, he'd be an ideal candidate.I hope he gets back to me. I know it's a longshot cause he's like a celebrity now (ESPN markets him like one), but I'm gonna try. Come on Bill Simmons, I've been a loyal reader since 2001, email me back!!!!!****
