Times are a Changing

That was a slogan from the 60's...as the world went thru some big changes........now, after the Olympics........it begins with a $700 billion debt to save Wall Street and the Banks........so nice they make a profit and we pay for their mistakes................in China, we see what this type of profit can lead to as another problem with the food they supply appears...over 50,000 children sick from the contaminated powder milk........that's what happens when profit is more important than health.......and yet on the other hand, China had three astronaunt take part in a space walk....if they can get that right you would think getting the food right would be easy.........again it comes down to regulation....we can not allow Wall Street or Companies in China to ruin things for everyone..........so things gotta change.......make your vote count in November if you want to place your mark down for change!

While things are tough for everyone ....if you can make a donation to the flood victims of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.............it helps............can't wait for the government....after all this time they still have not helped many thousands of people who survived Katrina.....On the funny side of this is the fact right now gas continues to drop in price in the Bay Area........for awhile for premium it was above $4.50 a gallon.........now it's below $4.00.........??

Congratulations to all the students who promoted during the Taiji Belt Tests......Jason, Helen, Lesa, Rhonda, Bruce Patrice, Tim......all of you did a great job, while tests are not something we like to do....it can push everyone to improve.......the results were very encouraging....everyone improved.  It also, high lighted the importance of studying Qigong........without which you have form but no content..........Qi and intent are important to improving your Taiji........collecting forms and not understanding the application or how to move the internal energy is in the long run useless..........once you master those two then you can work on the flavor and spirit of the form.

Finally, thanks to all the students for the great birthday party.........always feels good to know that you have had a positive effect on people's lives and they appreciate what you do........Jason picked a great restaurant....Hung To at 221 South Spruce Ave..........we went there for dimsum......which was made just right....not too greasy or salty..............the crab yee mein was excellent.........the pork cheung fun was good......and I especially liked the san jun bao......it was as good as any I have had in shanghai...........well do check it out....it's out of the way and has lots of parking...........and the food is as good as any place in Chinatown!

Hung to Seafood Restaurant has excellent dimsum..siu mai, pork bun, lotus wrap chicken and rice, cheung fun in xo sauce, spareribs...etc..was all real yummy!

Some of our team members having a great time..........the chocolate fudge cake was good too!!

Afterwards, some of us stopped at Martha's Coffee Shop on Clement Street for coffee.......it was all good.............again thanks to everyone had a great time!!

Anyway next week is the Dragon Boat Festival on Treasure Island...we will be there on Saturday, Oct 4 at 1:45pm..........so if you are in the area please drop by and enjoy the races....always lots of food and things to do...cya!!
