Finishing the Old Year!

Lots to post up from the old year that I didn't have a chance to do.  I have been away, and have tried to update my laptop to Windows 7.....hehe don't believe all the Hype.....it don't work much better....it will boot up faster...but programs take forever to load..and it still crashes.....and it was incompatible with my MacAfee Antispyware!  One of my students pointed out to make it boot faster they just shifted everything to your memory...windows 7 takes up a whopping 17GB of memory...but less RAM!  Tech sure is great!  Anyway..........some Toronto sightseeing........

This was the little town on the other side of the Niagra Falls.....looked very sci fi from the skyline.

Looking back toward the USA, I have been on the US side but this was the first time from the Canadian side.

This is approaching the incredible Horseshoe Falls..a really spectacular view.

This was shot right next to the Horseshoe Falls...and it was really wet!

The Horseshoe Falls are truly a wonder of nature......unfortunately, if they don't figure a way out to slow down the eroison...in 500 years it will be filled up and the view will be gone.

In the background is what is left of the bridge that use to connect the USA and Canada...it was washed away during a winter with heavy floods...gives you an ideas of how powerful nature can be.

the weather was perfect...it had rained the day before..and after, some of my student's did the same tour..but had really bad weather.  Only thing we missed was the boat ride under the Falls....it has started freezing so the boats couldn't go out there.  as always good day for some Taiji and sightseeing!

Simu loved the Fall foliage...really beautiful, nice to have four real seasons!

Yeah I now this is all sightseeing, and you wondered what I did at the world wushu Tournament? I'll post more next time....but I will say this about that......Wushu as an Olympic Sport...it will be awhile unless IWUF changes it's leadership and direction.......big event lots of hard work...but very little audience.  So far the sport is for the elite.....nothing to encourage the average person to want to take part.  Way too much politics for such a small sport....as I have said before....if China is interested in extreme martial arts competition...might as well join NASKA.....they have more sponsors, competitors and money.....no need to have your own event when you look like them....and take that for what it means.

Before I forget, please Donate to the Red Cross,or UNICEF......or even to the National Chinese Wushu Foundation....that's my charity......to the people of Haiti....they need your help!!  Thx all!!
