Give Me My Money Chico VIEWING

On the 30th of May 2010 we had a viewing of GIVE ME MY MONEY CHICO (filmed & edited by Anthony ‘BTL’ Claravall).

We were lucky enough to have Anthony himself here in Hong Kong watching it with us. It’s always good to watch it with a skater or the actual filmer cause you can ask them directly about the spot and how big the gap is or how rough the ground is.

I have to say Ant did a great job but how could he not when he’s filming with Chico Brenes, Karl Watson, Adelmo Jr, Kelly Hart, Rob G aka LOB G, Jack Curtin, Rodrigo Petersen, Rodrigo TX and their newest Andrew Langi.

I have to say that everyone’s favorites are Chico and Rob G. I agree but Rodrigo TX and Rodrigo Petersen gave me goose bumps, for sure, the pop man, it’s all about the pop. I seriously don’t know what they drink in Brazil. Acai? Oh, I’m also psyched on Andrew Langi, dayeem, this kid skates everything. That flip to blunt to fakie on Burnside, WTF? Ill Shit!

I have to say MVP of GIVE ME MY MONEY CHICO goes to (drum roll)…JACKSON CURTIN. Dayeem, he’s super ill and he skated new stuff as well, I love Jack, he’s dope! ‘Jack, kita kangen sama lu. Kapan lu ke Hong Kong lagi?’

After the viewing we had a Game of S K A T E and (Of Course) Chun Chai won again (easily), dayeem, Chun Chai is so good. We also had a fun SKATE or DICE, hands down the most fun game.

After the viewing, we (Lee Hawk, WZA, Anthony and Dani Bautista) went up to the Siswojo’s Mansion to visit Tayla. And with these people around, the topic was ONLY about skateboarding. Old, New and the Future of skateboarding.

The conversation heated up when the topic “Who’s Gnarlier?” came up, it was between Danny Way VS Bob Burnquist. We all agree that it’s Danny Way except Anthony, he was backing Bob Burquist hard. So, who do you think it’s gnarlier? DANNY or BOB?

Ant, sorry bro, BOB is gnarly but DANNY is gnarlier.

• The dinner was also a farewell dinner to Dani Bautista (8FIVE2SHOP), who’s leaving to Cebu for University.

We wish him all the luck and yo, see you when you get back. Keep that tre alive aight.
