  Dear friends,

  As you know we've been working with Esprit in Hong Kong to support their 'Esprit Friends' campaign over the last two months.  Their official alivenotdead.com profile is here:

  We helped to promote their casting call for 'The New Face of Esprit'  in August and we were very happy to find out that 4 of the 8 winning groups were referred through alivenotdead.com!  Winners included Kristina Lao, Raven Hanson,  Vince Chung and CBFresh (Simon, Derrick, B, Peapops, Rob and Chung!)

  
  

  The billboards featuring the winners are just starting to appear in HK this week, we're very excited to help alivenotdead.com artists get this kind of exposure!  Stay tuned for pictures and behind the scenes info on the Esprit profile.
  

  
  

  Additionally Esprit is organizing the launch party for their new FLAGSHIP STORE in Tsim Sha Tsui on October 17th.  And since they're closely working with us,  we've helped them line up a great set of artists to perform at the event.  In addition to some appearances by the musically inclined entrants for the 'New Face' competition,   we also get to see Jun Kung, Eman and Ellen of at17 and  Eman's brother Chet Lam perform on stage.  To top it off,  three musical have been selected from Esprit's band competition.  Special guest MCs are Terence Yin and Helen To!

• Lending a Helping Hand

  We have tried our best to help out with various charity causes whether it be for the Sichuan Earthquake in May 2008,  the Taiwan flooding in August 2009 or environmental groups like Reef Check.  Also a number of artists on the site are very active in Charity work,  for example Daniel Wu and Karen Mok both do work with Habitat for Humanity, Paul Wong is very active with Médecins Sans Frontières, and of course there's Jet Li's One Foundation.  

  
  

  Recently the devastating Typhoon Ketsana hit the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia and there was a powerful earthquake in Indonesia and a Tsunami in Samoa.  

  
  

  We encourage everyone to help the recovery efforts if possible. Here are some potential charities you can donate through:

• Last 4 days to Voting in the Esprit Friends Campaign

  Just a quick reminder for those who are following our partnership with Esprit HK for their 'Esprit Friends' Casting competition.  

  
  

  Esprit did two weekends of open castings at their stores in HK.  In search for 8 groups who will be the subjects of their upcoming ad campaign.  A total of 600 individuals participated!  

  
  

  
  

  

  
  

  Esprit has put all the casting videos on their site and are collecting votes until Midnight August 31st.  You have 4 more day to vote.  Please check out the Esprit HK profile here on alivenotdead.com for more about the castings and then click over to the Esprit Friends website to help our partner with the vote!

  Two updates!  

  
  

  First we'd like to congratulate the winner of our Linkin Park Band Search competition one more time - Macau Band Scamper opened for Linkin Park on Sunday at the Venetian Macao's Cotai Arena.  We've just posted some pictures from on stage on the contest page. • alivenotdead.com helps Esprit HK find friends for their new Ad Campaign

  We're pleased to announce that we are launching a new collaboration with fashion brand Esprit! 

  
  

  alivenotdead.com is working with Esprit to support their new campaign for their Fall 09 line, set around the subject of Friendship.  Its a very interesting campaign - they are looking to cast 8 groups of people based on their friendship....   they're organizing castings over two weekends at Esprit locations in HK to video and photograph the candidates.    The groups that make the final cut will be awarded with a HK$10,000 prize (approximately US$1200) and their face on Esprit ads across Hong Kong.
