Supporting "Habitat Challenge Day 2012"

Continuing with our long standing support of Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong,  we'd like to help get the word out about their upcoming event.  Please check it out!

Build For Hope, Walk For Challenge!  

 

The “Habitat Challenge Day 2012” aims to support our house restoration and mitigation projects in Hong Kong and China. This annual event will be held on 29th April 2012 (Sun), starting from Tung Chung and ending at Tai O for 12km.

 

The Tai O Stilt House symbolizes the local historical culture in Hong Kong. The remark and value were lost gradually due to the lack of renovation and development of the society, these especially affect the elderly living there. From 2010, Habitat for Humanity China initiated the renovation project to help these elder groups, solving the immediate and potential structural problems of these stilt houses.

 

All participating teams can either join “Pacer Team” or “Dasher Team” to take the challenge during our check-point games along the route under the limited time. Not only can the team show off their team spirit, but also enjoy a lovely Sunday and beautiful view along Lantau!

仁人家園將於 2012年4月29日(星期日) ，首次舉辦「仁人家園慈善大步走」大型年度步行籌款活動，由東涌步行至大澳，全程12公里，所有善款用作支持仁人家園於香港及中國內地的復修與及災後重建計劃。

 

大澳棚屋一直代表著香港本土文化，其特色及存在價值卻被日久失修與社區變遷而漸遭遺忘，尤其對長者造成不便。仁人家園自2010年起，向各獨居大澳的長者棚屋展開復修計劃，解決其即時或潛在的結構性問題。

 

各參與隊目可選擇參加步走族及疾走族，於指定時間內參與沿途各個遊戲挑戰站，不但能彰顯善心，發揮團隊精神,而且可與同僚享受大嶼山的美景，共度一個休閒愉悅的星期天。
