New Demo with Old footage

I needed to make a demo really quickly to bring in to an audition for today.  So here is the fruits of my labour from yesterday evening's work.  I didn't have too much footage on this computer to work with, but good enough for a minute and a half or so video.  My first editing work too, so don't expect the best.

Vancouver International Film Festival

Been awfully busy lately.  Which is a good thing.  Been slowly adding to my portfolio, polishing up my resume, getting business cards and getting ready for all the events that comes with the Vancouver International Film Festival.  I'm lucky to have a month break from the set of "2012" at this time because I get the chance to watch all the movies and enjoy the festivities.

Population of 1200

I'm working on the film "2012" right now.  Working title is "Farewell Atlantis".  And they have me living in Cache Creek this week.  Population of 1200.  There is exactly 1 pub and lounge, 1 24 hour convenience store and 1 good restaurant.

Mariah Carey - I'll be Lovin' U Long Time (Key of Grey remix)

Mariah Carey is holding a contest for the best remix for her song "I'll be Lovin' U Long Time".  First thing that came to mind was a very stereotypical Asian woman from bad American movies, but the song isn't as bad as that stereotype and a lot of the remixes are a lot better.

Moby Music Video

Soooo not sure if I want to get this out there.  But, a few of my friends and I decided to join this competition for fun.

This was a spur of the moment decision, we wanted to just shoot something really.  We didn't have much time and everything was really rushed to make the deadline, especially during the shoot, one of the locations we really had to just run in there, do our thing and run out before security caught up to us.  But all in all it was a lot of fun.

Key of Grey

I have a friend who's a music producer.  His name is Sean Yee and he has this website that basically helps people who love music and want to create it. 

With new technologies and programs now available it is possible for anyone to be able make their own music without all the technical skills.  This daily blog is full of tips and information about music.

I've worked with him and his stuff is pretty dam good.  I just think it's cool that he can make any type of music he wants.

Great, Great, Great.  This inspires me so much.

I am so bad at blogging.

It has been awhile since I've written anything.  And now I will document my life before I forget and lose this chapter of my life completely.

My Wushu Club, West Coast Chinese Martial Arts has finally opened up a permanent location in Richmond, BC, Canada.  In 11 years this is the first time we have a place to call our own (not to mention hanging things up on the walls).  We have been renovating it for the last 2 months, most of it being cleaning (vacant for years), and it is a garage that we're warping into a gym.Read more
