Chinese New Years Project

2012 came around and Chinese New Year in Beijing is as expected.  Fireworks going out constantly and although less than previous years, still dangerously.  This year my roommate Stanley and I decided to take part in a film competition out of Vancouver.  Remake a movie in 60 seconds. We're exhausted, but shooting is done.  Now on to post.  Which will be equally exhausting.  It should be done by the end of the week, and I'll be sure to share it.We finished our last shot today and we spent half the day at the great wall yesterd...Read more

Cleveland, Ohio, Summer 2011

It's been awhile since I've posted or even thought about posting.  I'm in the states right now and Alive not Dead I associate with Asia but really it's not.  It's the easiest way to blog no matter where I am.  And I can thank my mom for that one. So it's the day after Canada day, which was very uneventful as most Americans (many Canadians even) have no idea about.  Canada is 144 years old and that's something to celebrate.  Happy one day belated Canada!Apart from missing my country's birthday, I...Read more

Something/nothing

Another update.  Another update with very little information.I spent a month in LA.  Had a very productive time there.  Spent a lot of it hanging out with my friend Archie.  Reading sides, tennis and what have you.  It was a lot of fun.Back in Vancouver for the first time in a long time.  Good to be home.  Definitely great to see family again.  Got to do some intensive exercise that I haven't done in way too long.  And now I just heard I'll be back in LA soon.  And then Cleveland.  And then we'll see.Until I can say much more.  ...Read more

Yessss exciting news! And picture!

Unfortunately the picture is not relevant.  Fortunately it's still awesome.  And it goes with one of my favourite themes.  Random.  So here you go.  Cat poof.I just got my first lead role in a paramount movie shooting in the US. That's the news.I'm also meeting up with Jeanne Hartman today for lunch.  She's the wonderful acting coach who's going to HK in May to run s...Read more

A good example

My mom forwards emails to me probably one every few days.  Mostly good messages or stories that provoke good thoughts of faith, family and health.  This one she recently sent me I really enjoyed, it speaks volumes of what I'm trying to achieve with success and how I want to live life regardless of how big or small that comes.

In high school I was voted "best undergrad role model."  I had strong principles and never gave into peer pressure, and I was a pretty happy camper at that time and that rubbed off as well.  I ne...Read more

Let's see what I've missed in the last month or so..

The funny thing about the film industry and blogging is that when I have something I feel is worth mentioning, I can't, it's confidential.   If there's a lot going on that I would love to share, I don't have time to write it out.And more often than not I eventually forget about it.When I have nothing, then I have nothing so I don't say anything.  Well... this is an in betweener. So get ready for another unspecific post, in note form, no less!Lowdown for the year so far.  - Finis...Read more

Iron Fist knows how to do CNY

So there's been a good buzz about "Man with the Iron Fist".  It's one of those projects that continues to surprise people, and exceed expectations.  If you get a chance to walk around the set and chat up some of the production people, you'll hear a few of the veterans say something they haven't said for years, "I'm actually excited to see this movie".  And for good reason.   Heading into the Chinese New Year break, the production threw a HUGE party and despite everyone being tired, a handf...Read more

Hong Kong December

One of the scariest but best things about being an impulsive person is never knowing where you'll end up.  The last question I was asked in Beijing was "Wanna go to Hong Kong tomorrow?"The next dayI'm in Hong Kong, the weather is beautiful, and what seemed like it was going to be a fairly uneventful and relaxing trip has turned out to be otherwise. With friends coming in from around the world and meeting new ones here, Hong Kong has finally changed in my mind as that scary place with too many people to somewhere I feel qui...Read more
