In the last blog I failed to mention that we had visited STAGE-TUBE sometime in June to record two live music videos.
What is STAGE-TUBE?
STAGE-TUBE is a platform for bands and musicians in Hong Kong and nearby regions to show off their talents and to promote their music.
What is the video quality?
HD quality
Which songs did you record?
We recorded two of our more familiar songs, 'The Masquerade' and 'Man Love!'. We had never recorded a live music video before and this was definately a lot of fun. It has a very interesting process in creating a live music video.
Are they really live recordings?
Yes they are! First we recorded the song live and that covered the sound and the main cameras. Then we played the song again (pretended to play) while the techs got some close-up shots. So, whenever you see us close-up we are actually miming it, but they do such a good job that you can't notice it.
If I am in a band can I record a live music video at STAGE-TUBE?
If you have a band and are interested in doing a STAGE-TUBE video then you should contact these guys at . I would recommend this to anyone as it is good experience and lots of fun to do. The guys there are really professional and do a great job. Be warned though, there is a rumour that there is a 3 month waiting list, so you better get emailing them now.
Please visit their website to see what other bands they have recorded already. Bands they have recorded that I would like to give a mention are: Chochukmo, Karat, In Love and Pain, Supper Moment, Velvette Vendetta, and heaps more... so check them out at
One Gwailo and three Hong Kong guys come together to form F.B.I., a band which takes its audience on a musical journey of diverse sounds and on-stage intensity. With Australian vocalist-Cain, lead guitarist- Archvictor, bass guitarist- Jerald and on the drums- Nice.
Firebirds was a band built through a high school friendship of three Hong Kong guys. After participating in a school band project these three were inspired to just play music and have fun together. A chance meeting between Jerald and Cain gave the band an international feel, thus they became Fire Bird International.
F.B.I. emerged six months ago out of the New Territories and are still just new comers to the Hong Kong Rock scene. They have come along way since their first show in a community centre, which was the same day that Cain met the other members of the band. There was an instant connection that proves that music really is the universal language.
Although dedicated to cover songs for the first two months they have now began writing, performing and recording their own songs. In their short time together they have participated in band competitions and have appeared on Icable tv. It’s hard to describe F.B.I.’s style of music because they don’t conform to just one style. I guess you will just have to find out for yourself.
