HABITAT IN HONG KONG

Joe Castrucci started Habitat with the support from Chris Carter and Mike Hill back in 1999, time flies, it's been 10 years since Habitat been around and getting stronger and stronger.

We've been supporting Habitat since we started our business in 1999 which is the same year they started.  I've been a fan of Joe Castrucci's artwork since I first saw it.  To me, no deck is better than Habitat's deck.  None of the team riders are in the club (oh well...maybe Steve Durante...).  Think about it; Tim O'Connor, Fred Gall, Kerry Getz, Stefan Janoski, Danny Garcia, Silas and Ed Selego...are you fuckin kidding me?? Still strong and they added Austyn Gillette, Guru Khalsa and Marius Syvanen to make it an even stronger team.

Joe Castrucci and Habitat most definitely never cease to amaze me.  Mad mad respect.  Watch their latest DVD Inhabitants for reaffirmation.

I've heard about Joe since 1999 from Tim O'Connor, Stefan Janoski, Fred Gall and many other people.  Nothing but the best coming out from their mouths! I was always looking forward to meeting Joe.

Finally, last week, Joe Castrucci came to Hong Kong for his very first time along with Aaron Hoover and Joe Babcock.  It was most definitely my pleasure to finally meet Joe Castrucci (one of the best surnames in the industry by the way).  Joe and Aaron are working on Habitat footwear.  YES, I said it! I'm not down with skateboard companies doing shoes but with Joe's record and Aaron Hoover's experience in shoes, I expect nothing but the best! I can't wait actually.

I spoke to Joe C about it and he told me that he's been wanting to do shoes for the last decade.  It's like a dream for him, which I understand completely.

These people are not only talented but also humble amazing human beings.  I'm backing Habitat and anything affiliated with it.  For life fellas.
