Hi,
I tend to update my blog at the weirdest times. Usually when I feel lost and hopeless. It's 3:38am in Hong Kong right now. Just received an email from UBC saying that I can register for my courses soon. Geez...I'm currently really stressed out about choosing which courses, and what to major in. Lots of tiny issues that I don't even know how to explain. I really hope I can get my schedule all done soon so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
Anyway, let's put that aside and just let me update on what's been happening so far! First of all, I got back to Hong Kong on May 1st, just a day after my 19th birthday. Speaking of my 19th birthday, I had lots of fun with Miss Jessica Lee! She's such an awesome cousin and friend! Love to hang out with her weekly when i'm in Vancouver. Shucks that I won't be able to see her during these couple of months till I get back. Anyway, the night before my birthday, she brought me to this Japanese restaurant that serves Yakitori. It was such a great meal late at night. Then at 12am, she ordered me a Kamakazi (or something like that) and a Sake bomb! LOL! Super cool. I enjoyed it a lot too. (and no I wasn't drunk!)
Haha, anyway, when I'm back in Hong Kong, I was super relaxed and I really spent my holiday well. I ate a lot of good food, went to see a lot of my best and good friends, and even learned how to bike! I've always hoped to learn to bike since I went to Canada last year. I mean, everyone there technically knew how to bike already, and I felt so left out not knowing how to. Besides, I really wanted to bike at UBC so I can get to classes a lot faster than just walking! Simon and Bianca both taught me how to bike, took me about 2 hours for me to actually learn. Even though I was a bit wobble-ly at first, but after a couple of times biking, I got the hang of it. And on a side note, I really enjoy going downhill! Haha.
Another great news that has to be announced...I FINALLY SAW YUI! It's been one of the things I've always wanted to do since I started liking her in DEC 2006. In person, she is really pretty and her live is really really good. I even cried when she sang "It's Happy Line" and "Good bye days". Why cry you may ask? Well, I never actually thought I'll ever hear her sing live with these two songs before and coincidentally these two songs were the first two songs I learned on my guitar. So it's been awhile I've actually listened and played or "interacted"(?) with these two songs..so I get a little emotional when listening to it...especially LIVE! Anyway, those two songs were sang during her quick visit in Hong Kong. She visited around May...and I saw her at the Tsing Yee Maritime Mall. Even though I could barely see her, but just listening to her voice was enough. Just a couple days ago (June 26th), YUI held her first overseas tour in Hong Kong! And I was there to be with her...what an honour! It was my first time attending her concert, so I teared up when I heard her sing at the beginning (how weird, tearing up on a fast song?? LOL!) but anyway, this concert is definitely the concert I've most enjoyed in my life, I must say. I've never stood up at a concert this long, not willing to sit down (until YUI told us to), and clapped my hands till they're numb. I was completely into the concert, and I didn't even realized two hours have already passed till there was an Encore break.
Also, earliy in June - June 15 to be specific, I saw David Choi again! 2nd time! That was a nice experience too because it was also my first time listening to David Choi live. Even though it was a proper show, but I get to hug him and get his autograph was satisfying enough. He recognized me from Vancouver and from facebook I assume still. Once he saw me, he automatically gave me a hug with a friendly "hey!" I bought him this tradition Chinese shirt...I hope he likes it! :P
Anyway, it's almost 4am. I should start heading back to bed. I'll see if I'll update soon again. If I do, that means I'm lost and bored. I mean I really won't update unless I'm both lost and bored yea?
Oh wells. Time to wake up from my summer break and start worrying about school again!
Till then, cya
Yvonne
