MOVIE REVIEW [haven't done this for a while...]
been seeing this movie laying around virgin megastore DVD rack for a LONG time. always tempted to buy it but waited till last week tht finally, I DECIDED TO GET IT. hahaha!
(note to self: i have to control my movie buying temptation. every time i step into virgin, i ended up spending $30. i control my budget to $35 MAX. hahaha! hence, i only visit virgin like once every 2 months. the other 2 movies i got, Schindler's List and The Triplets of Belleville.)
love this movie. edward norton, definitely my #2 favorite actor. edward furlong is amazing too. esp the scene where he cry by his computer writing his essay while thinking back how his older brother, Derek, started to be influence with racism from his dad.
i LOVE the cinematography in this movie. esp all the close up shots with AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL LIGHTING, BOTH in black and white shots and color shots. stunned. love love love where it cuts to slow motion action. a very beautiful movie FULL with emotions here and there.

Sweeney Todd
:: bad. i personally think mr Johnny D is good, but definitely not as good as getting an award for his role in there. don't get me wrong, he's my #1 favorite actor, but i think this one, is BAD decision. hahaha! it felt more like a bunch of friends (Depp, Bruton and his wife) wanted to get together and make a movie. hmm...a Disney movie indeed. tht's my conclusion.
Darjeelling Limited
:: i love The Royal Tenenbaums hence i wanted to watch this. Wes Anderson. erm...this can be better. but it's full with Wes style. many things are going on at the same time yet you seem to be able to focus on the main action. hahaha! it's sorta like you are sneaking around watching ppl's life. hahah! (note: tht's actually what i like to do while taking photos of people. i always try to be invisible, capture their most candid shot.) never really watch his older (or newer?) movies, but will definitely check it out when i find them. LOL!
LOVE the idea for the train. the behind the scene extras on the DVD made the train way more special. i like they figure out the challenge of having the camera and crew to be shooting on a real train instead of a studio set up. not sure about the whole storyline but i like Adrien Brody. :P
just thought to include a Wes AmEx commercial to visualize what i meant of his style of movie directing(?). i love this ad though.

FireFox Version 3
:: has ANYONE downloaded or use this version that was being launched a week ago? I PERSONALLY VERY VERY DISLIKES IT. it has turned into a Safari template/color scheme. i already made a comment to FF peeps. :P
i note it as:
A// reason i use FF is cause of its simple, graphic and COLORFUL interface/theme/color scheme.
B// now it becomes too technical/mechanical in such grayish matte color effects. definitely made me think of Safari when i'm using it. makes me feel gloomy.
BUT the functionality of the version is great. only tthe aesthetic part...*shrug*
so...hopefully fun colorful FF will come back.
